What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Better Homes And Gardens Real Estate Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee may operate a main office and, with approval, open branch offices. The Location Addendum to the Franchise Agreement specifies that a franchisee can operate a new branch office at a designated location, commencing business on a specified New Office Opening Date.
This addendum requires the franchisee to pay an initial franchise fee for the new office. The franchisee must also adhere to the Brand Marketing Fund (BMF) contribution requirements as outlined in the Franchise Agreement, subject to annual adjustments. These BMF contributions are due within twenty days of being invoiced.
In practical terms, this means that a Better Homes And Gardens Real Estate franchisee can expand their business by opening additional branch offices, but each new location requires approval from Better Homes And Gardens Real Estate LLC, payment of an initial franchise fee, and ongoing contributions to the Brand Marketing Fund. The franchisee must also ensure compliance with the terms of the Franchise Agreement and any amendments specified in the Location Addendum.
