What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Better Homes And Gardens Real Estate's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, 'Standards' are defined as the mandatory specifications, standards, methods, and procedures prescribed by Better Homes And Gardens Real Estate. These standards are detailed within three key documents.
The first is the P&P Manual, which franchisees access on the company's intranet site. This manual contains mandatory specifications, standards, and operating procedures developed as part of the Better Homes And Gardens Real Estate system. Franchisees must ensure compliance with these provisions to protect the brand and system. Better Homes And Gardens Real Estate retains the right to make reasonable changes to the P&P Manual, reflecting updates on the intranet site, and franchisees must adopt these modifications within 90 days of notice, bearing the associated costs.
The second is the Identity Standards Manual. The third place these standards are prescribed is within the Franchise Agreement itself. In case of any conflict between the Franchise Agreement and the P&P Manual, the terms of the Franchise Agreement will take precedence. The master copy of the P&P Manual maintained on the intranet site will control in any dispute over its contents.
