What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Better Blend Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is required to engage the services of an architect licensed in the jurisdiction of the location if Better Blend requires it. This requirement is tied to the construction or remodeling of the location to meet Better Blend's System Standards.

Before starting any construction or remodeling, the franchisee must obtain Better Blend's approval of their plans and secure all necessary permits and licenses. Additionally, the franchisee must hire a qualified licensed general contractor to perform the construction or remodeling work. Better Blend retains the right, but not the obligation, to inspect the construction or remodeling progress at any reasonable time.

This stipulation ensures that all Better Blend locations adhere to the brand's standards and comply with local regulations. For a prospective franchisee, this means they need to budget for potential architectural services and be prepared to submit plans for approval before commencing any construction or remodeling activities. It also highlights the importance of selecting a location that aligns with Better Blend's criteria to minimize potential construction or remodeling costs.
