What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Better Blend's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Better Blend has a 30-day time limit to approve or disapprove a proposed site. This 30-day period starts once the franchisee submits all required documents and information about the site to Better Blend.
This means that a prospective Better Blend franchisee needs to gather and submit all necessary information promptly to start the clock. The factors Better Blend considers during this review include the general location, neighborhood, competition, trade area demographics, traffic patterns, parking, size, physical characteristics of existing buildings, and lease terms. If Better Blend does not approve the site within 30 days, or the franchisee and Better Blend cannot agree on a site, the franchisee may not be able to meet the opening deadline specified in the franchise agreement.
If the franchisee fails to open the franchise by the agreed-upon deadline and Better Blend does not agree to extend it, Better Blend may declare the franchisee in default and terminate the franchise agreement. This highlights the importance of thorough site selection and timely submission of all required documentation to Better Blend for approval. Franchisees should proactively communicate with Better Blend during the site selection process to ensure they understand all requirements and can meet the necessary deadlines.
