What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Better Blend's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Better Blend retains the right to approve or disapprove any advertising and promotional content that a franchisee intends to use. Franchisees must submit copies of all proposed advertising and promotional content to Better Blend for written approval at least 14 days before use. If Better Blend does not respond within this timeframe, the material is considered rejected. Better Blend also reserves the right to require a franchisee to discontinue the use of any advertising and promotional content for any reason. This approval extends to the media in which the franchisee intends to use the advertising.

This level of control is common in franchising to ensure brand consistency and compliance with legal standards. By requiring franchisees to obtain approval for their advertising and promotional content, Better Blend can maintain a uniform brand image and prevent franchisees from using materials that could be misleading or harmful to the brand. This also allows Better Blend to ensure that all advertising complies with applicable laws and regulations.

For a prospective Better Blend franchisee, this means that they will need to plan their advertising and promotional activities well in advance to allow time for Better Blend's review and approval. The franchisee should factor in the 14-day review period when developing their marketing plans. Failure to obtain approval or using disapproved content could result in the franchisee being required to discontinue the use of the material. Franchisees should also familiarize themselves with Better Blend's advertising standards, as outlined in the manual, to ensure their content is more likely to be approved.

Better Blend also has the right to control all aspects of digital marketing. Furthermore, Better Blend's approval is required for any advertising or promotional plans or materials used by a Market Cooperative. This ensures that all marketing efforts, whether individual or cooperative, align with Better Blend's overall brand strategy and standards.
