  • (a) Management. The Business must at all times be under the on-site supervision of the Principal Executive or a general manager who has completed BBF's training program, or another supervisor which Franchisee has properly trained.
  • 6.4 New Franchisee Training. Franchisee's Principal Executive and a general manager must complete BBF's training program for new franchisees to BBF's satisfaction at least four weeks before opening the Business.
  • 7.6 Post-Opening Training. BBF may at any time require that the Principal Executive and/or any other employees complete training programs, in any format and in any location determined by BBF. BBF may charge a reasonable fee for any training programs. BBF may require Franchisee to provide training programs to its employees. If a training program is held at a location which requires travel by the Principal Executive or any other employee, then Franchisee shall pay all travel, living and other expenses.
  • (e) Pre-Opening Training. BBF shall make available its standard pre-opening training to the Principal Executive and up to three other employees, at BBF's headquarters and/or at a Better Blend business designated by BBF. BBF shall not charge any fee for this training. Franchisee is responsible for its own travel, lodging, meal, and other out-of-pocket expenses. BBF reserves the right to vary the length and content of the initial training program based on the experience and skill level of any individual attending the program.

What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Better Blend Franchise Disclosure Document, the Principal Executive and a general manager are required to complete Better Blend's training program for new franchisees. This training must be completed to Better Blend's satisfaction at least four weeks before the business opens.

Better Blend also makes its standard pre-opening training available to the Principal Executive and up to three other employees. This training takes place at Better Blend's headquarters or at a Better Blend business designated by them. Better Blend does not charge any fee for this training; however, the franchisee is responsible for covering their own travel, lodging, meal, and other out-of-pocket expenses. Better Blend retains the right to change the length and content of the initial training program based on the experience and skill level of the individuals attending the program.

After opening, Better Blend may require that the Principal Executive and/or any other employees complete further training programs. These programs can be in any format and location determined by Better Blend, and Better Blend may charge a reasonable fee for them. The franchisee is responsible for all travel, living, and other expenses if the training program requires travel. Additionally, the franchisee is responsible for ensuring the Business is under the on-site supervision of the Principal Executive, a general manager who has completed Better Blend's training program, or another properly trained supervisor.
