What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Better Blend's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must acquire and use all technology that Better Blend requires. Better Blend has the right to prohibit a franchisee from using any technology that is not approved or required by them.

This means that as a Better Blend franchisee, you are obligated to use the specific technology that Better Blend mandates for the business. You cannot use alternative technologies without their explicit approval. This could include hardware, software, or any other technological tools used in the operation of the franchise.

The franchisee is also responsible for entering into any subscription and support agreements related to the technology that Better Blend may require, and must upgrade, update, or replace any technology as Better Blend requires. Furthermore, the franchisee must protect the confidentiality and security of all technology and abide by any system standards related to it, and give Better Blend unlimited access to the franchisee's technology used in the business. While franchisees must adhere to Better Blend's technology standards, they are ultimately responsible for the technology's operation, maintenance, and upgrades, as well as compliance with data security standards and privacy laws.

This policy ensures uniformity and quality control across all Better Blend franchise locations, but it also means franchisees have limited autonomy in choosing their own technology solutions. Franchisees bear the responsibility for maintaining and upgrading the mandated technology, as well as any consequences arising from its improper operation.
