Who owns the customer data collected or generated by the Better Blend business?

According to Better Blend's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, customer data collected or generated by the Better Blend business is considered Confidential Information and is owned by BBF (Better Blend Franchising, LLC). This includes all data collected or generated by the point-of-sale system, excluding employee data. As a franchisee, you acknowledge this ownership and agree to treat this data as confidential.

This means that while you, as the franchisee, will be collecting and potentially using this data in the day-to-day operation of your Better Blend location, the data ultimately belongs to the franchisor. You are obligated to maintain the confidentiality of this information and can only disclose it to your employees to the extent necessary for business operations. You cannot use this data for any other business or in any manner not specifically authorized by Better Blend Franchising, LLC.
