What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Better Blend's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, their opening support includes assistance in training employees. However, all hiring decisions and conditions of employment are the franchisee's sole responsibility. This means that while Better Blend will provide some guidance and resources for training staff, the franchisee is ultimately in charge of selecting and managing their employees.
Better Blend's initial training program is further detailed in Item 11. The training classes will be scheduled based on the needs of new franchisees and are anticipated to be held two to four times per year. The training takes place at Better Blend's offices and business location in Cincinnati, Ohio. The company does reserve the right to vary the length and content of the initial training program based on the experience and skill level of the individual attending the training program. Better Blend also reserves the right to have franchisees train in a store other than their Cincinnati, OH location.
The training program includes the Brand Standards Manual, lectures, discussions, on-the-job demonstrations, and practice. The training classes will be led or supervised by Isaac Hamlin, Jess O'Connor and Macy Stiles. There is no fee for up to four people to attend training, but the franchisee must pay for the travel and living expenses of those attending. The franchisee and their general manager (or lead Blender) must attend the training, and it must be completed to Better Blend's satisfaction at least four weeks before opening the business.
