What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Better Blend's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must offer all menu items, beverages, and other products and services that Better Blend prescribes in the manual or in writing. Franchisees must follow all recipes, use only the ingredients specified or authorized by Better Blend, and prepare and serve all food products in a high-quality manner that meets or exceeds the customer's reasonable expectations and all applicable System Standards. Franchisees must also maintain sufficient inventory levels at all times, with Better Blend having the right to specify minimum inventory levels as a System Standard.
Better Blend franchisees are obligated to make sales only at the approved location or through third-party delivery services that Better Blend requires or approves. Better Blend retains the right to negotiate system-wide agreements with these third-party delivery services, and franchisees must comply with these agreements. Better Blend can also set delivery boundaries, which may differ from the franchisee's territory. Adjusted Gross Sales on deliveries will be calculated based on the amount paid by the customer to the delivery service, excluding any fees charged by the delivery service to the customer, such as delivery fees, service charges, or gratuities.
These requirements ensure that Better Blend maintains consistent product quality and service standards across all franchise locations. For a prospective franchisee, this means adhering strictly to Better Blend's prescribed menu, preparation methods, and inventory levels. It also means complying with Better Blend's chosen delivery services and pricing structures. While this provides a structured framework for operation, it also limits the franchisee's autonomy in making independent decisions about menu offerings, suppliers, and delivery options.
