What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Better Blend's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must provide certificates of insurance to Better Blend before opening their business. This ensures that the franchisee has the required coverage in place, protecting both the franchisee and Better Blend from potential liabilities. The franchisee must also renew the insurance coverage annually and provide updated certificates to Better Blend. Additionally, Better Blend will review and advise franchisees regarding potential locations submitted by the franchisee.
Better Blend also offers pre-opening assistance to franchisees. This includes advising on the layout, design, and build-out of the business, as well as providing specifications and a list of approved vendors for equipment, signs, fixtures, opening inventory, and supplies. Franchisees can also request Better Blend to review and advise on their pre-opening business plan and financial projections. Better Blend will also advise franchisees regarding the planning and execution of their market introduction plan.
For franchisees opening their first Better Blend business, Better Blend will have a representative support the business opening with at least three days of onsite opening training and assistance, at Better Blend's expense. However, if the franchisee or its affiliates already have two or more Better Blend locations, then Better Blend is not obligated to provide opening support. These measures are designed to help new franchisees get their businesses off to a successful start and ensure consistency across the Better Blend brand.
