What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Better Blend's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee for a single unit is $35,000. This fee is paid when the franchise agreement is signed and is not refundable. This is a fairly standard, non-refundable fee in the franchise industry.
However, Better Blend offers a reduced initial franchise fee for franchisees who commit to a multi-unit development agreement (MUDA). Under a MUDA, the initial franchise fee is reduced for each additional location. The fee is $30,000 for the second outlet, $25,000 for the third, and $20,000 for the fourth and each additional outlet.
If a franchisee signs a MUDA, they must pay 50% of the franchise fees upon signing the agreement. The balance for each franchise is due when the franchisee signs a letter of intent to lease each additional location. A separate Franchise Agreement must be signed for each additional location at that time. These fees are also non-refundable.
