What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Better Blend's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Better Blend has the right to add, modify, or discontinue any of the Marks used within its System. If Better Blend makes such a change, the franchisee is obligated to comply with the change within a reasonable timeframe, not exceeding 90 days.

This compliance is to be carried out at the franchisee's own expense. This means the franchisee will bear the financial responsibility for implementing any changes to signage, marketing materials, or other branded items that feature the updated Marks. This could involve costs for new signs, printed materials, and potentially changes to digital marketing assets.

This clause is fairly standard in franchise agreements, as franchisors need the flexibility to update their branding to stay current and competitive. However, it's important for prospective Better Blend franchisees to understand that these changes can incur costs, and they should factor this into their financial planning. Franchisees might want to inquire about the frequency with which Better Blend has historically updated its Marks and the typical costs associated with such changes to better anticipate these potential expenses.
