What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Better Blend's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for all aspects of their business's technology. While Better Blend has the right to require and approve specific technologies, the franchisee is ultimately responsible for acquiring, operating, maintaining, and upgrading all technology used in the business. This includes entering into any required subscription and support agreements. Better Blend also has the right to access the franchisee's technology.
The franchisee is also responsible for how their technology interfaces with Better Blend's systems or any third-party systems. If the franchisee's technology is not properly maintained or upgraded, they are solely responsible for any consequences that may arise. This highlights the importance of ensuring that all technology meets Better Blend's standards and is kept up-to-date.
Furthermore, Better Blend franchisees must comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards and all laws governing the use, disclosure, and protection of privacy information at all times. This includes protecting the confidentiality and security of all technology used in the business and adhering to any system standards related to it. These requirements emphasize the need for franchisees to prioritize data security and privacy to protect both their business and their customers.
