Is a Better Blend franchisee required to offer all beverages that Better Blend requires?

According to Better Blend's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must offer particular menu items, beverages, products, and services as part of the Better Blend system. The Better Blend system includes methods, procedures, and standards for operating a Better Blend business, along with plans, specifications, equipment, signage, and trade dress. It also encompasses training programs, business knowledge, and marketing plans and concepts, as well as other mandatory or optional elements determined by Better Blend.

This means that as a Better Blend franchisee, you are required to adhere to the standards set by Better Blend, which includes offering specific menu items and beverages. These requirements ensure consistency across all Better Blend locations and maintain the brand's identity. Franchisees must comply with all brand requirements at their open Better Blend Nutrition businesses and not be in default under any Franchise Agreement.

Better Blend also issues specifications and standards for applicable aspects of the franchise in their Manual and/or in written directives. Better Blend may issue new specifications and standards for any aspect of their brand system, or modify existing specifications and standards, at any time by revising their Manual and/or issuing new written directives, which may be communicated to franchisees by any method they choose. This allows Better Blend to adapt and evolve its offerings, and franchisees are expected to implement these changes.

Prospective franchisees should carefully review the Franchise Agreement and the Brand Standards Manual to fully understand the specific requirements for menu items, beverages, products, and services. It is important to understand the extent to which Better Blend can modify these requirements and how these changes will be communicated and implemented.
