What is a Better Blend franchisee required to do immediately after becoming aware of a Data Security Event?

According to Better Blend's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must notify Better Blend immediately after becoming aware of a Data Security Event. Additionally, the franchisee is obligated to cooperate with Better Blend and follow all reasonable requests from Better Blend to address the Data Security Event and protect any Privacy Information and/or Confidential Information. Better Blend, or its designee, has the right, but not the obligation, to take any action or pursue any proceeding with respect to the Data Security Event.

This includes unauthorized access attempts to the system, other Better Blend businesses, or their data, as well as unauthorized viewing, copying, or use of Privacy Information or Confidential Information. It also encompasses unwanted disruptions, denial of service, unauthorized use of systems for data processing or storage, and changes to system hardware, firmware, or software without Better Blend's knowledge or consent.
