What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Better Blend's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to cooperate with Better Blend's inspectors during inspections. Specifically, Better Blend may enter the premises of the business at any reasonable time, including during normal business hours, to conduct inspections.
The franchisee's cooperation is mandatory, as stated in the Franchise Agreement. These inspections may involve observing operations, conducting physical inventory, evaluating conditions, monitoring sales, speaking with employees and customers, and even removing samples. Better Blend also reserves the right to videotape or take photographs during the inspection.
Better Blend will try to minimize disruption to the franchisee's business operations during inspections. However, franchisees should be aware that failure to meet minimum inspection score requirements set by Better Blend can result in a default under the Franchise Agreement. Franchisees are also responsible for correcting any deficiencies noted during an inspection as soon as reasonably practical. If an inspection is triggered by a governmental report, customer complaint, or a franchisee's non-compliance, Better Blend may charge the franchisee for out-of-pocket expenses and inspection fees.
