- 3.2 Successor Agreement. When the term of this Agreement expires, Franchisee may enter into a successor agreement for the Location for up to two additional periods of five years each, subject to the following conditions prior to each expiration:
- (i) Franchisee notifies BBF of the election to renew between 90 and 180 days prior to the end of the term;
- (ii) Franchisee (and its affiliates) are in compliance with this Agreement and all other agreements with BBF (or any of its affiliates) at the time of election and at the time of renewal;

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Better Blend Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee and its affiliates must be in compliance with all agreements with Better Blend Franchising (BBF) at both the time of election and the time of renewal to be eligible for a successor agreement. Specifically, upon the expiration of the initial 10-year franchise agreement term, the franchisee has the option to enter into a successor agreement for the location for up to two additional periods of five years each.
However, this option is contingent upon meeting several conditions prior to each expiration. One of these conditions is that the franchisee and its affiliates must be in full compliance with the existing franchise agreement and all other agreements with Better Blend or its affiliates at the time they elect to renew and at the actual time of renewal.
This requirement ensures that Better Blend franchisees maintain good standing and adhere to the brand's standards and contractual obligations throughout the duration of their franchise tenure. Failure to comply with these agreements could result in the denial of the opportunity to renew the franchise agreement, effectively ending the franchisee's right to operate the Better Blend business at that location.
