What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Better Blend's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are restricted from engaging in any business or activity at the designated location other than the operation of the Better Blend business. This restriction is explicitly stated in Section 7.19 of the Franchise Agreement. Furthermore, franchisees are prohibited from utilizing the business's assets for any purpose other than the Better Blend business itself. If the franchisee is an entity, that entity is not allowed to own or operate any other business except for other Better Blend businesses.
This provision ensures that the franchisee's focus remains solely on developing and maintaining the Better Blend franchise, upholding brand consistency, and preventing any potential conflicts of interest. It also protects the Better Blend brand by ensuring that the location is exclusively associated with Better Blend's products and services.
For a prospective franchisee, this means they cannot operate any other business, even if complementary, from the Better Blend location. This restriction is a common practice in franchising to maintain uniformity and prevent brand dilution. Franchisees should carefully consider this restriction and ensure they are prepared to dedicate their full attention and resources to the Better Blend franchise.
