What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Better Blend's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, while Better Blend does not charge a fee for the initial pre-opening training provided to the Principal Executive and up to three other employees, the franchisee is responsible for covering certain expenses. This training takes place at Better Blend's headquarters or a designated Better Blend business location.
Specifically, the franchisee must pay for their own travel, lodging, meals, and any other out-of-pocket expenses incurred while attending the pre-opening training program. This means that franchisees need to budget for transportation to and from the training location, accommodation costs during the training period, the cost of food and beverages, and any incidental expenses that may arise.
This is a fairly standard practice in the franchise industry, where franchisors typically cover the cost of the training itself but pass on the travel and living expenses to the franchisee. This allows Better Blend to provide consistent training without incurring excessive costs, while franchisees bear the responsibility for their own logistical arrangements and associated expenses. Prospective franchisees should factor these costs into their initial investment calculations to ensure they have sufficient capital to cover all pre-opening expenses.
