What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Better Blend's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Better Blend has the authority to modify or waive System Standards for individual franchises. This flexibility is based on specific factors such as the site's unique characteristics, population density, business potential, the trade area's population, existing business practices, relevant laws and regulations, or any other condition that could impact a franchise's performance. This means that Better Blend can adapt its standard operating procedures to suit the specific circumstances of a particular location.
However, the FDD stipulates that any variation or waiver granted to one Better Blend franchisee does not automatically entitle other franchisees to the same treatment. Each request is evaluated independently based on its own merits. This ensures that Better Blend can tailor its approach to each location while maintaining overall brand consistency.
For a prospective Better Blend franchisee, this clause offers both potential benefits and risks. On one hand, it suggests that Better Blend is willing to work with franchisees to optimize their operations based on local conditions. On the other hand, it highlights the importance of due diligence in assessing the specific market and competitive landscape of the chosen location, as these factors could influence Better Blend's willingness to grant variations or waivers.
