What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Better Blend's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must obtain Better Blend's approval of their plans before starting any construction or remodeling. Additionally, the franchisee must secure all necessary permits and licenses required to begin such work.
Better Blend may require franchisees to engage the services of a licensed architect in the jurisdiction of the location. Franchisees are also obligated to use a qualified licensed general contractor for the construction or remodeling work. Better Blend retains the right to inspect the franchisee's construction or remodeling progress at any reasonable time, although they are not required to do so.
These stipulations ensure that the Better Blend franchise adheres to the brand's standards and complies with local regulations. Prospective franchisees should factor in the time and costs associated with obtaining these approvals and permits, as delays or non-compliance can impact the opening timeline and potentially lead to penalties.
