What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Best Western's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Impact Study Fee ranges from $0 to $4,000. This fee is paid as a lump sum before Best Western commissions the impact study. The payment is made directly to Best Western.
New prospective Best Western members may contribute funds for the commissioning of an impact study by paying the $4,000 Impact Study Fee. All new prospective members must complete an Application for Membership.
If the new prospective member's application is presented to the Board by the Application Deadline and the application is approved, the Impact Study Fee will be credited toward the Affiliation Fee. However, if the application is not approved, the entire Affiliation Fee (including the $4,000 Impact Study Fee) will be refunded. If the application is not presented by the deadline due to the prospective member's actions, or if the application is approved but the prospective member does not accept the conditions, the $4,000 Impact Study Fee will not be refunded.
