What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Best Western's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a Best Western member is unable to provide a room for a guest with a guaranteed reservation, the member is responsible for arranging comparable accommodations. If possible, the member should try to find accommodations at a nearby Best Western. If that is not possible, they should find a comparable hotel or motel in the area.

Best Western requires that the member provide the alternate accommodations at no charge to the guest for the first night. In addition to covering the cost of the first night's stay, the Best Western member must also provide transportation to the alternate accommodations.

Finally, the Best Western member must also provide a telephone call so the guest can notify their home or office of the change in accommodations. The transportation and phone call must also be provided without charge to the guest.
