What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Best Western's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a member's written response to a notification of violation must explicitly state whether the charged violations will be corrected within the provided corrective period or if the member disputes the existence of the violations. If the violations have already been corrected within twenty-one days of the notification, the response must specifically state this fact.

Furthermore, if corrective action is still possible within the established corrective period, the Best Western member is required to notify Best Western when the violations have been corrected. This notification must be sent no later than the final date of the corrective period. This ensures Best Western is kept informed of the progress and resolution of any violations.

This requirement ensures clear communication and accountability between Best Western and its members regarding compliance issues. By requiring a specific statement about correction or challenge of violations, Best Western aims to resolve issues promptly and maintain brand standards. The detailed notification process helps to avoid misunderstandings and provides a clear path for members to address and rectify any non-compliance issues.
