What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Best Western's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Member Web Booking Commissions are billed one month in arrears. These commissions are then due and payable monthly upon receipt of the statement.

For North American hotels, the commission is 10% of Property Room Revenue (PRR) for reservations received from other Best Western hotels, while for international hotels, it is 5% of PRR. Conversely, Best Western also credits hotels for reservations they send to other Best Western hotels, with the same percentages applying to North American and international hotels respectively. These credits are also applied one month in arrears.

Understanding the billing and payment schedule for these commissions is crucial for Best Western franchisees to manage their cash flow and reconcile their accounts accurately. Franchisees should carefully review their monthly statements to ensure that the commissions and credits are correctly applied, and promptly address any discrepancies with Best Western.
