What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Best Western's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the registration fee for the District Meeting and Annual Convention will not increase annually by more than the lesser of two options. The first option is a fixed 5% increase. The second is the rate of inflation for the previous year, as measured by the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer Price Index (all items for all urban areas). For fiscal year 2014, the District Meetings registration fee was $399.

For a Best Western franchisee, this means that the cost of attending these mandatory meetings can fluctuate, but is capped. The actual increase each year will depend on the prevailing inflation rate, but it will never exceed 5%. This provides some predictability in budgeting for these expenses.

Additionally, if a Voting Member represents multiple properties in a District, the first property pays the full registration fee, while additional properties receive a $150 discount. A $150 discount also applies for each additional attendee from a single property.
