What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Best Western's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the High-Speed Internet Access (“HSIA”) Advocacy Program fee is due and payable upon statement receipt. This fee is $2,100 and is a one-time program participation fee.
The HSIA Advocacy Program is designed to improve guest satisfaction scores (“GSS”) through system improvements. Participation in the program is required if a Best Western hotel's GSS scores fall below a certain threshold. However, participation is optional if the GSS scores are above the threshold.
For a prospective Best Western franchisee, this means that if their hotel's guest satisfaction scores for internet access are initially low, they will be required to pay $2,100 to participate in the HSIA Advocacy Program. This fee must be paid when the statement is received. If the scores are already satisfactory, participation is optional, and the fee is only applicable if the franchisee chooses to enroll in the program.
