What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Best Western's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a Rapid Response visit is required for properties that score less than 840 points on two Guest Room Public Area (GRPA) assessments within a 24-month period. These visits are conducted as soon as possible after the second assessment resulting in a score below 840 and must be completed within 30 days of the GRPA assessment.
The cost recovery fee for a Rapid Response visit is currently $1,900. This fee is designed to cover the expenses Best Western incurs while providing this service to underperforming properties.
Importantly, the document states that the Best Western Board of Directors has the authority to adjust this $1,900 fee to reflect actual costs. This implies that the fee is not fixed and can be changed periodically by the Board to ensure it accurately covers the expenses associated with the Rapid Response visits.
