Under what conditions can Best Brains refuse to approve a proposed relocation?

Best_Brains Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

If you want to relocate, you must notify us in writing 60 days before the relocation. We reserve the right to refuse to approve a proposed relocation if we believe that the proposed relocation is for any reason not acceptable to us. Our judgment may be based on factors such as the proximity to existing or proposed locations owned by other franchisees or us, the suitability of the proposed facilities, compliance with our then current franchise location requirements, the competitiveness within the market place or other factors.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Best Brains' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must notify Best Brains in writing 60 days before any planned relocation. Best Brains retains the right to refuse approval for a proposed relocation if they find it unacceptable for any reason.

Best Brains' judgment in these matters may be based on several factors. These include the proximity of the proposed location to existing or planned Best Brains centers (whether owned by other franchisees or by Best Brains itself), the suitability of the facilities at the new location, and whether the new location meets Best Brains' then-current franchise location requirements.

Additionally, Best Brains may consider the competitive landscape in the marketplace and any other factors they deem relevant. This broad discretion means that a Best Brains franchisee needs to carefully consider these factors and communicate effectively with Best Brains when contemplating a relocation to maximize the chances of approval.
