What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Best Brains FDD, the document does not state any conditions under which the initial training fee is waived. The FDD states that if you purchase a Premium Learning Center, you must pay Best Brains a $3,500 initial training fee. You are also responsible for covering all travel and living expenses incurred during the training. The FDD specifies that you must successfully complete the training program to Best Brains' satisfaction.

The training program consists of fourteen days of initial training on the operation of a Best Brains Franchised Business. The training is expected to be conducted at one of the Best Brains learning centers in the Chicagoland area in the weeks preceding the opening of your learning center, approximately one to ten weeks after you sign your Franchise Agreement. The training is provided by Dorothy Pieta, who has experience as an On-Site Trainer, curriculum staff member, Center Director, and Center Director/Owner for her own franchised Best Brains.

In addition to the initial training, Best Brains provides pre-opening and opening on-the-job supervision and assistance at the premises of your Franchised Business for approximately three days near the time of the opening of your Franchised Business. Franchisees must participate in up to five days per calendar year of refresher training in the operations and marketing of the Franchised Business, if required by Best Brains. While there is currently no fee for refresher training, franchisees must cover all travel and living expenses to attend.
