What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Best Brains's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee wants to use an alternate supplier, they must first notify Best Brains in writing and provide all necessary specifications, samples, and information, along with a fee. The fee is currently $500 per day for each person Best Brains assigns to evaluate the supplier, plus any reasonable expenses they incur.

Best Brains will then notify the franchisee of their approval or disapproval of the alternate supplier within 30 days of receiving all the required information. However, Best Brains' criteria for approving suppliers is confidential and not shared with franchisees. Franchisees are only allowed to work with suppliers that Best Brains has approved.

It's important to note that Best Brains retains the right to revoke approval of a supplier at any time, for any reason. They will communicate any such revocations through the Operations Manual or other written notices. This means that a franchisee could be forced to switch suppliers even after a supplier has been approved, which could potentially disrupt their business and increase costs.
