What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Best Brains's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to obtain fictitious or assumed name registrations as required under applicable law. Best Brains requires franchisees to use their Marks as the sole identification of the Franchised Business, while also identifying themselves as the independent owner in a prescribed manner.
The FDD specifies that franchisees cannot use any Mark as part of any company or trade name, or with any prefix, suffix, or other modifications, unless expressly authorized in writing by Best Brains. Franchisees must prominently display the Marks on signs, posters, displays, service contracts, stationery, and other designated forms.
All bank accounts, licenses, permits, and similar documents must contain the actual name of the person or entity owning the Best Brains Franchised Business, and may include "d/b/a BEST BRAINS." This means that while the legal name of the franchisee's business must be used on official documents, they are permitted to also use the "doing business as" designation with the Best Brains name. Franchisees must also give notices of trademark and service mark registrations and copyrights as specified by Best Brains.
