F. Conduct the Franchised Business According to System Standards.
You shall conduct the Franchised Business offering only such services and products that have been authorized by us. You agree to follow Company's specifications, standards, methods and operating procedures (the "System Standards") in development and operation of the Franchised Business, and will be responsible for all costs incurred in complying with System Standards. These System Standards may be periodically modified or supplemented by us.
Material Purchases. You must purchase your inventory of Student Worksheets, Instructions Materials, an Abacus for each student, and the initial inventory, equipment and center décor from us and make payment to us per the time frames set in the Operations Manual. All products shall be sold only as we approve. You shall not sell products or services by the Internet or by mail order or catalog.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Best Brains' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must use only approved architects, equipment, and supplies. Specifically, a Best Brains franchisee must use only those architects and items of equipment, inventory, decor, computer hardware and software, supplies, apparel, and signs that Best Brains has approved. Furthermore, these items must be purchased or leased only from Best Brains, its affiliates, or suppliers approved by Best Brains.
If a franchisee wants to use an unapproved architect, equipment, or supplier, they must first notify Best Brains in writing. The franchisee must submit sufficient specifications, photographs, drawings, samples, and information for Best Brains to determine whether the proposed supplier complies with their standards. Best Brains also charges a fee of $500 per day for each person they provide for this determination, along with reasonable expenses. Best Brains will then notify the franchisee of their determination within 30 days of receiving the required information.
Best Brains also states that they and their affiliates may profit from the franchisee's purchases of goods or services from them, their affiliates, or a designated or approved supplier. The franchisee is responsible for maintaining the franchised business, equipment, and furnishings in good repair, attractive appearance, and sound operating condition.
