For a Best Brains franchise, what is the franchisee obligated to do regarding zoning changes, permits, and licenses?

According to the 2025 Best Brains Franchise Disclosure Document, as a franchisee, you are obligated to obtain all required zoning changes, permits, and licenses necessary for the operation of the Best Brains business. This must be done with prior notification to and approval by Best Brains.

In addition to securing the necessary zoning changes, permits, and licenses, you are also responsible for completing the construction and/or remodeling of the franchised business. This includes equipment, furniture, and sign installation, as well as decorating, all of which must strictly comply with the plans and specifications approved by Best Brains and adhere to all applicable ordinances, building codes, and permit requirements.

Furthermore, you must obtain all customary contractors' sworn statements and partial and final waivers of lien for construction, remodeling, decorating, and installation services. These obligations ensure that the Best Brains franchise operates in compliance with local regulations and standards, maintaining the brand's integrity and consistency.
