What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bens Soft Pretzels' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise training program consists of twenty-four hours of training. This initial training occurs within one month after the date of the Franchise Agreement. The FDD specifies that virtual training and scheduled weekly or bi-weekly calls are available for many of the training subjects.

In addition to the initial training, Bens Soft Pretzels provides pre-opening and opening on-the-job supervision and assistance at the franchisee's store for approximately five days near the store's opening. Franchisees must also participate in up to five days per calendar year of refresher training in operations and marketing if required by Bens Soft Pretzels.

Prospective franchisees should consider that they are responsible for their own travel and living expenses during the initial training program. While there are no additional fees for the initial training, additional training programs or meetings may incur fees as detailed in Item 6 of the FDD, along with the franchisee's travel and living expenses. The FDD also mentions that the training is provided by Scott Jones and Brian Krider, each with over 5 years of soft pretzel store experience, indicating that the training is conducted by experienced personnel.
