How many hours of training does the Bens Soft Pretzels training program consist of?

According to the 2025 Bens Soft Pretzels Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program consists of twenty-four hours of training. This training includes virtual training and scheduled weekly or bi-weekly calls for many of the subjects covered. Franchisees are required to attend this training program, and they must cover their own travel and living expenses during the training period. However, there are no additional fees for the training itself.

In addition to the initial training, Bens Soft Pretzels provides pre-opening and opening on-the-job supervision and assistance at the franchisee's store premises for approximately five days around the store's opening. This on-site support is designed to help franchisees get their business off to a strong start.

Bens Soft Pretzels also offers ongoing training, requiring franchisees to participate in up to five days per calendar year of refresher training in operations and marketing. This refresher training may occur at an annual convention or business meeting, which franchisees may be required to attend once per calendar year. Franchisees are responsible for the fees for additional training programs or meetings, as detailed in Item 6 of the FDD, as well as all travel and living expenses associated with these ongoing training sessions.
