What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Bens Soft Pretzels Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise training program is 24 hours in length. This training is required within one month after the signing of the Franchise Agreement. The franchisee is responsible for covering their own travel and living expenses during the training period. However, there are no additional fees for the training itself.

Bens Soft Pretzels also provides pre-opening and opening on-the-job supervision and assistance at the store premises for approximately five days around the store opening. Franchisees and their managers must successfully complete the training program to the satisfaction of Bens Soft Pretzels. Failure to pass the training program can result in the termination of the Franchise Agreement, without a refund of the franchise fee or coverage of incurred costs.

In addition to the initial training, Bens Soft Pretzels may require franchisees to participate in up to five days per calendar year of refresher training. This ongoing training will cover operations and marketing of the store and may take place at an annual convention or business meeting. Franchisees are responsible for all travel and living expenses associated with refresher training, and additional fees may apply as outlined in Item 6 of the FDD.
