We offer a program which allows for deferred payment of part of the Initial Franchise Fee to franchisees willing to commit to open up to three Stores ("3-Pack") at three designated locations. You do not sign any form of development agreement for the three Stores, although you will sign a "3-Pack" Addendum, included as Schedule E to the Franchise Agreement.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bens Soft Pretzels Franchise Disclosure Document, the '3-Pack' program allows franchisees to defer payment of part of the initial franchise fee if they commit to opening up to three stores at three designated locations. This program is designed to encourage multi-unit franchising, which can benefit both the franchisee and Bens Soft Pretzels by expanding the brand's presence more rapidly.
Unlike a traditional development agreement, franchisees participating in the '3-Pack' program do not sign a development agreement for the three stores. Instead, they sign a '3-Pack' Addendum, which is included as Schedule E to the Franchise Agreement. This addendum likely outlines the specific terms and conditions of the program, including the deferred payment schedule and any obligations related to opening the three stores.
For a prospective franchisee, the '3-Pack' program presents an opportunity to expand their business with Bens Soft Pretzels more quickly while potentially easing the initial financial burden. However, it's crucial to carefully review the '3-Pack' Addendum to understand the full scope of the commitment and any associated risks. Franchisees should consider the designated locations, the timeline for opening each store, and the terms of the deferred payment plan to ensure they can meet the obligations of the program.
