What This Means (2025 FDD)

The 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document for Bens Soft Pretzels does not contain a 3-Pack Addendum. However, there are examples of date formats in the Lease Addendum and Captive Venue Addendum. These addenda include fields for dates, using a format of month/day/year, as seen in the examples provided. Specifically, the Lease Addendum uses a fill-in-the-blank format for the day and year. The Captive Venue Addendum also uses a similar format for indicating the date.

While the FDD excerpts do not explicitly state that this format must be used, the inclusion of these formats within the agreement suggests that Bens Soft Pretzels prefers this format for consistency across all documents. It is important to note that the FDD does not explicitly state that this is the only acceptable format, nor does it penalize franchisees for using a different format.

Prospective franchisees should confirm with Bens Soft Pretzels whether a specific date format is required for any addenda or other documents related to the franchise agreement to ensure compliance and avoid any potential issues. It would be prudent to clarify this during the due diligence process before signing any agreements.
