Answer from 2025 FDD Document

We currently do not have a formal co-branding program, that is, a program giving franchisees the option of operating a Scoop Shop together with any other branded business from the same location. We may offer this option in the future.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Ben Jerrys's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Ben & Jerry's does not currently offer a formal co-branding program. A co-branding program would allow a franchisee to operate a Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop in conjunction with another branded business from the same location. However, Ben Jerrys states that it may offer this option sometime in the future.

For a prospective franchisee, this means that currently you cannot partner with another business and operate a Ben & Jerry's within that business's location or vice versa under a formal program sanctioned by Ben Jerrys. This could limit the options for franchisees who are looking for ways to reduce costs by sharing space with another business.

While a formal co-branding program is not available, it is important for a prospective franchisee to discuss any potential co-branding ideas with Ben Jerrys directly. This will help to understand if any informal arrangements or future programs might be possible. It is also important to stay updated on any changes to Ben Jerrys's policies regarding co-branding as they evaluate this option for the future.
