The Franchised Business must be directly supervised and managed by a person, identified to us and accepted by us, who has both passed a background check and successfully completed our training program or for whom, based on his or her experience, we have waived this requirement.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Belocal's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the training program requirement for the supervisor or manager of a Franchised Business can be waived based on their prior experience. Specifically, Belocal must accept the designated supervisor or manager, and the waiver is contingent on Belocal's assessment of the individual's experience.
This waiver option provides flexibility for franchisees who may have experienced personnel they wish to employ without requiring them to undergo the standard training program. However, Belocal retains the right to determine whether the individual's experience is sufficient to warrant a waiver.
It is important to note that even if a manager is hired and approved by Belocal, the franchisee is still strongly encouraged to devote a substantial amount of time to the Franchised Business. Franchisees who are actively involved in the business may achieve higher advertising revenue, commissions, and recognition compared to those who are less engaged.
