What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Belocal's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Belocal reserves the right to charge an adjustment fee if a franchisee requests changes to the layout or content of the proof copy of the publication. After the franchisee submits the content for an issue of the publication, Belocal provides a proof copy. If the franchisee then asks Belocal to make changes to this proof, Belocal may charge an adjustment fee.

The specific amount of the adjustment fee is detailed in the Franchise Brand Standards Manual, which Belocal can modify at its discretion. This means the fee is not fixed and could change over time. It is important for a prospective franchisee to review the Franchise Brand Standards Manual to understand the current fee structure and how it is determined.

This policy incentivizes franchisees to carefully review and finalize their content before submitting it to Belocal for publication. It also allows Belocal to recoup costs associated with making revisions after the initial proof has been generated. A potential franchisee should consider these potential fees and ensure they have a clear process for content creation and review to minimize the likelihood of incurring adjustment fees.
