What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Belocal's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Belocal bears no responsibility for malfunctions or crashes of any technology or software programs that they provide, require, or approve. This includes any data lost due to such malfunctions or crashes.

This means that as a Belocal franchisee, you are solely responsible for the acquisition, operation, maintenance, and upgrading of the technology and software programs used in your franchise. You are also responsible for how these programs interface with Belocal's and any third party's computer systems. If these programs are not properly operated, maintained, and upgraded, you assume all consequences.

This allocation of responsibility is a significant point for prospective franchisees to consider. While Belocal may specify or approve certain technologies, the onus is on the franchisee to ensure these systems function correctly. This includes managing any data loss resulting from system failures. Franchisees should factor in the potential costs of IT support, data recovery, and system maintenance when evaluating the overall investment and operational requirements of a Belocal franchise.
