You must attend and satisfactorily complete, as we determine, our initial franchise training program within the first 60 days after signing the Franchise Agreement. You cannot begin operating your Franchised Business until you have satisfactorily completed such franchise training. We provide the initial franchise training program at no additional charge. You have the option to receive the training virtually or in-person at our designated training location. You are responsible for any costs you incur in connection with your participation in the training.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Belocal's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise training program is provided at no additional charge. The training can be received virtually or in-person at a designated training location. However, franchisees are responsible for covering any costs they incur while participating in the training.
This means that while the training itself is free, a new Belocal franchisee will need to budget for expenses such as travel, lodging, meals, and wages for themselves or their manager if they hire one to handle the day-to-day operations. Both the franchisee and the manager must successfully complete the initial training program before the franchisee can begin operating the Belocal business.
Belocal may also require franchisees to periodically attend additional training programs and seminars, which could be at various designated locations or conducted virtually, possibly by third parties. Belocal and these third parties have the right to charge a reasonable fee for these additional training programs and seminars, with the fees based on Belocal's costs or the fees charged by the third parties. The franchisee is responsible for all expenses related to these additional training programs, including travel, lodging, meals, and wages.
Optional services, such as additional or remedial training, may be provided by Belocal at their discretion. Fees may be assessed for these services, and Belocal has the right to add, delete, and modify the optional services offered. This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, where the initial training is included, but ongoing or specialized training may incur additional costs.
