What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Belocal's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, June 30, 2025, marks the end of the "Reporting Period" used to compile the historical financial performance representations in Item 19. This Reporting Period spans from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025. The financial data presented pertains to 84 Belocal publications that were in print as of June 30, 2024, and had operated for a full year, as well as 88 franchisees who were active during this period.
Belocal uses this specific timeframe to provide prospective franchisees with an overview of potential commission payments. By focusing on publications and franchisees active throughout the entire Reporting Period, Belocal aims to offer a more reliable and consistent dataset. The company excludes data from publications not in print for the full year or from franchisees using different commission calculation methods to ensure the financial performance representation is based on a uniform set of operational conditions.
It is important for potential Belocal franchisees to understand that the financial performance data is historical and based on specific criteria. The FDD explicitly states that individual results may vary, and there is no guarantee that a new franchisee will achieve the same level of financial performance. Therefore, while the Reporting Period data provides a benchmark, prospective franchisees should conduct their own due diligence and consult with financial advisors to assess the potential risks and rewards of investing in a Belocal franchise.
