What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Belocal's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, History articles in the Belocal publication are designed to highlight significant buildings, parks, or other landmarks within the area covered by the publication. Belocal requires franchisees to include one History article in each issue of the publication, along with other types of articles. These articles are part of the content mix that Belocal mandates for each publication.
This requirement ensures that each Belocal publication provides a well-rounded view of the community it serves, covering not only current events and local tips but also the historical aspects of the area. By including historical landmarks, Belocal aims to connect residents with their community's past and provide context for its present. This can enhance the publication's appeal and relevance to its readership.
For a prospective Belocal franchisee, this means that they will need to research and write or source content about local historical sites. This could involve visiting landmarks, conducting interviews, or reviewing historical records. The franchisee must ensure that the History articles meet Belocal's standards and contribute to the overall quality and appeal of the publication. This requirement adds a specific content creation task to the franchisee's responsibilities, which they must plan for in their operations.
