What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Belocal's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Belocal does provide initial training to its franchisees. Item 11 outlines the franchisor's assistance, advertising, computer systems, and training provided to franchisees. Specifically, Belocal will provide initial training to the franchisee before they open their Belocal franchise, as stated in Franchise Agreement Sections 5.D. and 6.E.
The initial franchise training program must be attended and satisfactorily completed within the first 60 days after signing the Franchise Agreement. Franchisees cannot begin operating their Belocal business until they have satisfactorily completed the training. Belocal provides this initial training program at no additional charge, and franchisees have the option to receive the training virtually or in-person at a designated training location. However, the franchisee is responsible for any costs they incur in connection with their participation in the training.
The initial training generally requires 19 hours. After completing the classroom segment of initial training, franchisees must participate in 8 hours of virtual field training. Upon conclusion of the initial franchise training program, Belocal will provide teleconference and online self-guided training materials to support franchisees during their ramp-up to print and launch period. Belocal may also require franchisees to periodically attend additional training programs and seminars, which may be conducted at various locations or virtually, and may be conducted by third parties, with associated fees for these additional training programs and seminars.
