In our discretion, we may maintain an Online Presence (defined below) that provides information about the BELOCAL brand, The N2 Company publications, and/or the Franchised Business. (Franchise Agreement, Section 8.D.)

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Belocal's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Belocal has the option to maintain an Online Presence that provides information about the Belocal brand, The N2 Company publications, and/or the Franchised Business. However, Belocal is not required to do so. This service is optional and at Belocal's discretion.
This means that as a franchisee, you cannot rely on Belocal to provide or maintain an online presence to promote the brand, its publications, or your specific franchise. While Belocal may choose to do so, they are not obligated. This could impact your marketing strategy, as you may need to take on the full responsibility of establishing and maintaining your own online presence to attract customers.
Belocal also has the right to require franchisees to obtain their consent to create or operate online presences related to Belocal, the System, the Marks, any publication, or the franchisee's Franchised Business. Belocal can also request ownership or control of any online presence a franchisee is permitted to create, and can revoke a franchisee's permission to use any Online Presence at any time. This indicates that while franchisees may have some freedom in establishing an online presence, Belocal retains significant control over how the brand is represented online.
Given this information, a prospective franchisee should discuss with Belocal what support, if any, they typically provide for online presence and what the expectations are for franchisee-led online marketing efforts. Understanding Belocal's typical practices and expectations will be crucial for developing an effective marketing plan.
