What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Belocal's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Belocal has the right, but not the obligation, to designate webpages or other forms of online presence to describe the franchisee. These webpages or online presences will be located within Belocal's website or another online presence.
This means that Belocal can create and manage online content about a franchisee's business, publication, or other related aspects. However, Belocal is not required to do so. This gives Belocal the flexibility to control the online narrative and branding associated with its franchisees.
For a prospective franchisee, this implies that Belocal may create a webpage or online presence to promote their franchise. However, franchisees should not rely on Belocal to create this content and should be prepared to manage their own online presence as well. Franchisees should also be aware that Belocal is not liable for any downtime that may occur to any online presence, whether caused by Belocal or a third party.
